Downsizing out of a house that’s held forty years of a family’s stuff doesn’t move at the same pace as a twenty-something’s studio apartment, and Blue Line Movers doesn’t run it like one. Some jobs need extra time built in for a family to decide what’s going where — donation, a relative’s house, the new place — before a single box gets taped.
Owen walks these jobs personally when asked, and the crew that shows up is briefed on what matters that day: a chair that has to go in a specific spot, boxes labeled by room instead of just “misc,” a schedule that leaves room for a family member to sit with the movers rather than rush them. Pricing follows the same hourly or flat-rate structure as any residential move — nothing extra tacked on for the pace.

Pricing For This Service
Crew size sets your hourly rate — $135/hr for two movers, $175/hr for three, $215/hr for four — and if you’d rather have a firm number going in, Owen or Derek can walk the place ahead of time and write one up
The truck, dollies, and furniture pads all ride inside that hourly rate, not billed separately: $135 for two movers, $175 for three, $215 for four, and $45/hr for each additional mover after that. A $150 deposit holds your date and gets credited straight to the final invoice. Basic coverage is included on every job, and a pre-move walkthrough — in person around Newton, over video for anything farther out — is available any time you want a firmer estimate before move day.
